MRID-Flo McCollom Memorial Scholarship Application
Flo McCollom was the first MRID President in 1975. As a way to remember our roots, we have named this scholarship in honor of her and the work of the first MRID board.
Scholarship monies are to help defray the cost of attendance/testing for events sponsored by: RID, RID Region IV, MRID and applicable professional development endeavors. Funds will be available at the discretion of the Board of Directors and as the budget allows.
The MRID board would like to announce a new scholarship opportunity of up to $250. Applications are due by October 15, 2017. This is a competitive scholarship and requires the applicants to obtain a letter of recommendation as well as write a compelling essay outlining their stance for acquiring the funds.
At present, many workshops, institutions, and national trainings are accepting registrations and applications. This is a great opportunity to begin thinking about furthering your education, training and skills development, during the upcoming months. Post-secondary opportunities for the 2017-2018 school year also provide an excellent choice for obtaining professional credentials.
The Board hopes you are as excited about this new scholarship opportunity as we are. Contact the scholarship committee with any questions.
